A Change of Heart

I used to say wine was a crutch

That people were using too much

But once I was teaching

I had to stop preaching
Or else lose my mind and my touch.

Today's prompt for napowrimo.net is to write "a palinode. And what’s that? It’s a poem in which the poet retracts a statement made in an earlier poem."  We were also allowed to simply have a change of heart about something, which is what I did.
